Young Eagles

Saturday, October 8, 2016 (9:00 a.m. - noon)

Bring your child out to Morey Field and enjoy an introduction to flight. Young Eagles is a program sponsored by the local EAA chapter. It's designed to introduce children and young adults to aviation.  Please call Morey Airplane Company about one month prior to the event to schedule a flight for your 8-17 year old child.




Private Pilot Ground School

The next ground school will officially begin September 13, 2016 and will meet for 13 weeks on Tuesdays from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.   

The class meets Tuesday nights from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m at Morey Airport in the conference room.  

Morey's Private Pilot ground school instruction is provided by multiple Morey ground/flight instructors and focuses on areas such as airspace, weather, airplane performance, flight planning, radio communication and FAA rules & regulations. It is an excellent introduction to aviation as well as a compliment to your flight instruction.  Completion of the course will allow you to take the FAA written exam. Tuition is $320.00 which includes a Sectional and an Airport Facility Directory, (coarse materials are extra).  Space is limited, so call (608) 836-1711 today to reserve your spot. 





Instrument Pilot Ground School

The next ground school will tentatively begin September 8, 2016.  The class meets Thursday nights from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Morey Airport in the conference room.   

All subjects of the knowledge test will be covered including: aerodynamics, instrument operation and errors, regulations, human factors, principles of aircraft control under instrument conditions, weather, flight planning, communications, approaches, and avionics.  Completion of the course will allow you to take the FAA written exam.  Tuition for the course is $400.00 (course materials are extra).  Tuition for the course also includes 2 hours of simulator (FTD) time in a Frasca 141 Simulator with a CFII Instructor.  The simulator time counts toward the experience required for the Instrument Rating.
